What kind of HD camcorder should I get for amateur movies?

I need a price ($ 150 to $ 250) high definition digital camcorder that has good image quality of movies recorded on cheap DVD / HDD / card. Preferably, not a video camera vertical style. What would be better and easier to use?

Canon and Sony are good brands for camcorders. I recommend Canon ZR900 Mini-DV Camcorder . A decent deal for it is only $212 instead of $250..

    Hope it helps.

There is no high definition in your price range with good picture quality – or good audio, for that matter.

Entry point is the Canon HV20, HV30, Sony HDR-HC7 and HC9.
